A SIGNED AND DATED QAJAR SENNEH JACKET/COAT, PERSIA PROBABLY KERMAN, DATED 1321 AH
This signed and dated Qajar coat is a woven wool garment, likely from Senneh, featuring a dense, all-over boteh pattern in a palette of deep red, blue, and cream. The full-length garment is designed with an open front, long straight sleeves, and side vents at the hem, all lined with a contrasting brown fabric. The lower back features an embroidered calligraphic cartouche rendered in gold-toned thread, which includes the Hijri date of 1321, corresponding to approximately 1903-1904 AD.
