Lot 57:
Description
Of domed form fashioned from thick felt, embroidered throughout in black thread with vertical bands enclosing stylised inscriptions and motifs, encircled at the base by a bold calligraphic band in naskh script. The crown is radiating with stitched lines converging at the apex. Such caps were associated with dervish orders, serving both as markers of spiritual identity and as protective talismans, their inscribed prayers believed to endow the wearer with divine blessing.
