Description
Two Ottoman pipe ornaments carved from translucent orange-red amber. The collection includes a larger pear-shaped ornament and a smaller flattened discoid ornament, both featuring central drill holes for suspension. These pieces are characteristic of Islamic lapidary work designed for the ornamentation of smoking pipes. The stone exhibits natural internal inclusions and a polished surface.
