Description
This Thai Buddhist amulet is identified as a Phra Khun Paen, a style frequently associated with the Wat Ban Krang cache. The central figure is crafted from molded sacred powder or clay, depicting a seated Buddha in a pointed-arch frame. The reverse of the amulet features a small patch of applied gold leaf. The piece is contained within a silver-toned metal case featuring a hinged opening at the base and a suspension loop at the apex. The exterior of the case is decorated with engraved foliate scrolling patterns and accented with red, green, and blue enamel work.
