Description
A Chinese famille rose porcelain landscape vase. The large ovoid body is decorated with a continuous landscape scene depicting misty mountains, a winding river with a small boat, and classical pavilions set among pine and blossoming trees. One side of the body features several columns of black calligraphy accompanied by multiple red seal marks. The flared neck is embellished with pink peonies and scrolling foliage against a yellow ground, bordered by ruyi-head and floral patterns at the shoulder and rim. The underside of the base bears an apocryphal red four-character seal mark and a stamped MADE IN CHINA mark.
