Description
Two Chinese lidded boxes featuring blue and white porcelain plaques in the Kangxi style. The larger box is of an irregular rectangular form with a porcelain plaque depicting four figures in traditional dress within a garden setting. The smaller oval box features a porcelain plaque decorated with a stylized pine tree and accented with red and green pigments. Both plaques are set into metal frames featuring foliate and scrollwork engraving along the sides. The interiors and undersides of the boxes display a golden-toned finish.
