Description
A silver-gilt and enamel pectoral cross by Elias D. Evagelidis. The piece features a central polychrome enamel plaque depicting the Hospitality of Abraham, also known as the Old Testament Trinity. The cross is heavily embellished with faceted purple stones, likely amethysts, surrounded by smaller red and clear stone accents. It is surmounted by an intricate crown-shaped finial and suspended from a matching chain with cast leaf-shaped links. The design displays elaborate budded terminals and fine scrollwork characteristic of Eastern Orthodox ecclesiastical regalia. The reverse of the cross has a matte finish and is stamped with the number 825 and a seven-digit serial number.
