Description
A large Persian tinned copper bowl featuring an elaborately engraved exterior. The decoration is organized into horizontal registers, beginning with a prominent band of calligraphic script near the rim. This is followed by intricate foliate arabesques, geometric borders, and interlocking cartouches. The pedestal foot is decorated with a series of teardrop motifs. The object is constructed from hammered copper with a tinned surface.
