Description
This Persian silver pitcher features an octagonal faceted body with an angular handle and a flared spout, all resting on a matching octagonal footed base. The exterior is decorated with dense hand-engraved floral arabesques, birds, and animals, characteristic of the Qajar period. The decoration includes small cartouches near the rim and complex pattern work within the faceted panels. The vessel shows evidence of a silver-gilt finish. No hallmarks or maker marks are visible on the exterior or the underside of the base.
