Description
An Indian Meenakari enamel bangle, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The piece is constructed from silver-gilt metal and decorated with polychrome enamel in shades of green, blue, pink, and white. It features two confronting elephant-head terminals with green enamel faces and white tusks. Each elephant head is topped with a cabochon-cut red gemstone. The main body of the bangle displays a repeating floral pattern of pink blossoms on a white ground, bordered by blue and turquoise geometric bands. The bangle includes a functional pin-and-hinge closure located between the elephant terminals.
