Description
An antique iron screw-lock padlock of Persian or Islamic origin. The object features a cylindrical body and a semi-circular shackle. The exterior of the body is covered in hand-engraved calligraphic script in an early Islamic style. The locking mechanism is a screw-lock type, with threading visible on the shackle where it meets the body. The piece is constructed from forged iron.
