Description
This decorative container is constructed from a polished iridescent nautilus shell mounted with silver-toned metal fittings. The object features a hinged mesh lid secured to the shell body with metal rivets. It is supported by an oval footed base crafted from matching iridescent shell material, decorated with a hand-painted geometric border and floral motifs. The exterior of the shell is adorned with an illustration of a building in black and blue pigments, positioned above the printed text SOUTH INDIA TEMPLE. The interior of the shell is hollow.
