Description
This textile fragment consists of a narrow rectangular band of cream-colored fabric featuring heavy embroidery in colored silk threads. The design is organized into a series of decorative cartouches containing Arabic calligraphy, including religious invocations such as Ya Allah, separated by stylized floral and foliate motifs. A long, dense fringe composed of metallic-wrapped and silk threads is attached along the lower edge. The piece is constructed using traditional hand-embroidery techniques.
