Description
A pair of ceramic jars produced by Laroche, Belgium, featuring a decorative scheme in the Iznik style. Each jar is of globular form with a short, cobalt blue rim. The bodies are decorated with symmetrical floral and foliate motifs, including stylized palmettes and serrated saz leaves. The color palette consists of cobalt blue, turquoise, orange, and green set against a white ground. The undersides of both vessels bear a circular maker’s stamp for R. V. LAROCHE BELGE and handwritten inventory numbers c904.
