This brass vessel features a squat bulbous body tapering to a short slightly flared rim. The exterior is decorated with alternating calligraphic panels and circular medallions containing dense arabesque and calligraphic motifs in Thuluth or Naskh script. These central decorative elements are framed by bands of geometric interlace and scrolling foliate patterns. The vessel is constructed of engraved brass. A small hand-incised numeric mark is present on the base.
