Description
This 19th-century Indo-Persian plate is constructed from darkened steel and features decorative gold koftgari inlay. The circular composition is formed by overlapping vine leaves with serrated edges, each detailed with incised veining and numerous small, gold-inlaid stars. A stylized, gnarled vine branch rendered in a contrasting gold-toned metal is applied at the base of the arrangement. The reverse side features a central circular panel secured by rivets and screws, surrounded by a wide border of engraved geometric chevron patterns.
