Lot 288: A PERSIAN QAJAR STYLE LACQUER MIRROR CASE, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

A Persian Qajar style lacquer mirror case of rectangular form constructed from wood. The exterior features two folding doors decorated in dark lacquer with reddish brown floral and bird motifs in the Gol o Morgh style, secured by a small metal latch. The interior reveals a central rectangular mirror inset within decorative borders and panels featuring hand painted birds and botanical designs in a palette of red, orange, yellow, and green. The reverse of the case consists of a plain dark stained wood panel fitted with four metal hanging loops.
