Description

This shallow magic or healing bowl is constructed from a copper alloy brass with extensive engraved decoration. The object features a circular form with a slightly recessed well and a raised central boss. Both the interior and exterior surfaces are densely ornamented with multiple concentric bands of Arabic calligraphy, likely representing Qur’anic verses or talismanic prayers. The central medallion on both sides is dominated by a Seal of Solomon hexagram motif surrounded by radiating script. The engraving technique is used to create both the text and the geometric talismanic symbols throughout the vessel.
