Description
A set of Indian Ganjifa playing cards and a coordinating storage box. The rectangular wooden box features a hand-painted trellis and floral pattern in green and cream over a mustard-yellow ground, framed by red borders. The collection of circular cards is hand-painted on lacquered paper or card, depicting various deities, figures in courtly attire, and numeric suits against red, green, and black backgrounds. Some cards are accented with gold leaf.
