Description

A Persian Qajar steel bird sculpture, likely representing a pigeon or dove, dating to the 19th century. The figure is constructed of forged steel with a dark patinated surface and features a separate head component joined at the neck. The bird stands on two slender legs with three-toed feet. The decoration consists of silver-inlaid koftgari work in scrolling foliate and geometric patterns applied to the wings, tail, and back.
