Description
This antique Arabic manuscript prayer book is bound in dark maroon-brown leather featuring blind-tooled geometric borders and a central lozenge motif. The interior consists of hand-written text in black ink on aged cream-colored paper, with rubricated headings and titles in red ink. The text contains various Christian devotions and liturgies, including sections titled The Holy Eucharist (Al-Qurban al-Muqaddas), Act of Faith (Fi’l al-Iman), and Litany (Talba). A Litany of Saints is present, invoking names such as St. Stephen, St. Peter, and St. John. The endpapers are decorated with a colorful block-printed floral pattern in shades of green, red, and blue. The manuscript is constructed with hand-sewn binding.
