A. LINARES GRANADA SEPIA PHOTOGRAPH OF AN ALGERIAN WOMAN IN TRADITIONAL COSTUME
This sepia-toned photograph, produced by the studio of A. Linares in Granada, depicts a woman in ornate traditional Algerian attire and jewelry. The subject is posed between slender marble columns against a backdrop of intricate Moorish tilework and carvings, characteristic of the Alhambra. The lower-left corner of the dark brown matting features a blind stamp for the studio of A. Linares, Granada. The photograph is housed in a simple gilded wood frame. The reverse of the frame includes a business label from Aquitaine-Cadre located in Pauillac, France, along with several adhesive inventory tags and handwritten auction notations.
