This Orientalist School oil on canvas painting depicts a bustling Middle Eastern or North African town square. The composition features historic masonry architecture with arched portals, a prominent domed building, and minarets set against a bright blue sky. Numerous figures in traditional attire are dispersed throughout the foreground and mid-ground, with some seated on rugs while others stand in groups. The work exhibits a painterly style with visible brushwork and is monogrammed F.G. within a circle in the lower-left corner.
