Description
A watercolour on paper by Iraqi artist Jewad Selim, executed in ink and watercolor. The composition reflects a modern illustrative style with Middle Eastern influence, depicting a man and a woman in profile facing each other. The figures are characterised by stylised blue hair and flowing linear forms, with Arabic calligraphy integrated into the background and foreground elements. An artist signature in red script is located toward the bottom centre of the page. The work is presented under a dark mat within a textured, gold-toned metallic-finish frame. The reverse of the frame is finished with a taped paper backing and a hanging wire.
