Lot 214:
Description
This Persian Qajar belt is composed of several curved rectangular bone panels joined by small metal links. Each panel features hand-painted lacquer miniature scenes depicting courtly figures in traditional attire, musicians, birds among foliage, grazing deer, and intricate geometric medallions with floral motifs. The lacquer decoration is signed Imami, identifying the work with the 19th-century Iranian lacquer tradition. The panels are fashioned from bone and exhibit an aged patina on the undecorated reverse.
