Description
A COLLECTION OF PAHLAVI IRANIAN IMPERIAL COURT PERSIAN SILVER FLATWARE, IRAN, 20TH CENTURY
This collection of Iranian silver flatware is associated with the Pahlavi dynasty and the Imperial Court. The pieces, which include several forks and spoons, are designed with pointed handle terminals. The obverse of each handle is decorated with the Iranian Lion and Sun emblem surmounted by a crown. The reverse of the handles is inscribed in Persian calligraphy with "دربار شاهنشاهی" (Darbar-e Shahanshai), translating to "Imperial Court." Some pieces bear manufacturer stamps on the shanks, including "EXTRA PRIMA N.S." The material is confirmed to be silver.
