Description
An early Qur’an manuscript from Harar, in the Horn of Africa, dated AH 917 (c. 1511 AD). Written in a bold, legible hand reflecting early Yemeni–Hijazi calligraphic traditions, characteristic of Islamic manuscript production in the western Red Sea and Horn of Africa regions. The manuscript was clearly intended for devotional use rather than courtly presentation, retaining strong regional authenticity. signed written by mohammed and owner is Hassan.
