A COLLECTION OF SEVEN INDIAN COMPANY SCHOOL BIRD ILLUSTRATIONS PAINTINGS, CIRCA 1900
A collection of framed natural history bird illustrations executed in gouache or watercolor on paper. The works depict various avian species, including multiple parrots, a crested songbird, and a bird of prey, each perched upon stylized branches. The illustrations are rendered in a detailed, naturalistic style consistent with 19th-century ornithological studies. Each piece is uniformly housed in a reddish-brown faux-bamboo frame with an off-white mat.
