Description
A LARGE ARABIC CHRISTIAN PRINT BOOK KITAB PENTEKOSTARION ARABIC LITURGICAL TEXT, JERUSALEM, 1852
This 1852 edition of the Kitab Pentekostarion or Book of Pentekostarion is a religious liturgical text printed in Arabic at the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate press in Jerusalem. The volume is half-bound in dark leather over paper-covered boards. The interior features printed Arabic text organized for daily services between Easter and Pentecost. Decorative elements include headers and a woodcut illustration depicting the Resurrection. Several pages contain contemporary handwritten annotations in ink. A printed biographical slip concerning Saint Andrew of Jerusalem is tipped into the rear endpaper. The title page includes a decorative border and the press insignia.
