Lot 126:
Description
This Omani jambiya-style dagger features a broad, curved, double-edged steel blade with a prominent central medial ridge. The hilt is constructed from a dark, polished material, possibly wood or horn, and is embellished with applied metal elements, including a circular floral medallion on one face and more complex geometric fittings on the reverse. The blade exhibits a dark, aged patina with visible surface oxidation and pitting throughout. The hilt shows signs of wear consistent with age and use, with tarnishing on the metal components and slight surface abrasions on the handle. The overall piece has a weathered appearance typical of a historical utilitarian or ceremonial object.
