Description
AN ARABIC MANUSCRIPT OF KITAB AL-SHAFIYAH IN ARABIC GRAMER COPIED BY MOHAMMED ALMUSLY, DATED 646 AH (1248 A.D)
Arabic manuscript is titled Kitab al-Shafiyah fi ‘Ilm al-Lughah wa al-Sarf and authored by Ibn al-Hajib. The volume is bound in marbled paper boards with a leather spine. The interior features hand-written naskh calligraphy in black ink with red ink used for headings and key terms on aged paper. A colophon indicates that the work was transcribed by Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Radwan al-Ba’li al-Mawsili in the month of Safar, 646 AH, which corresponds to approximately 1248 CE.
