Description
A TIGER’S EYE AND SILVER-TONED METAL WALKING STICK WITH CARVED FELINE HANDLE, INDIA, 20TH CENTURY
This walking stick features a handle and shaft constructed from tiger’s eye gemstone. The handle is carved in the form of a feline head and is attached to the shaft by a silver-toned metal collar. The shaft is composed of numerous polished tiger’s eye segments, each carved with a series of concave ridges. The stone exhibits characteristic golden-brown chatoyancy and a high luster. The piece terminates in a pointed, decorative metal ferrule.
