Description
This Anglo-Indian silver walking stick features a tapered shaft entirely decorated with dense repousse and chased ornamentation. The decorative program consists of intricate floral and foliate motifs characteristic of late 19th or early 20th-century Indian silverwork, often associated with the Cutch or Madras regions. A significant portion of the shaft is executed in a spiraling design. The wider proximal end is finished with a rounded, decorative pommel, while the distal end terminates in a small metal cap. The construction utilizes silver throughout the exterior surface.
