Description
A silver mounted steel shamshir. The curved steel blade features a centrally located cartouche containing an engraved inscription in Arabic script. The hilt is constructed with a dark wood pistol-grip handle featuring a small star-shaped decorative inlay at the pommel. The crossguard is composed of silver-gilt metal with engraved geometric and foliate patterns. The accompanying scabbard is decorated with silver-gilt repousse work displaying floral motifs and an imbricated scale pattern. The scabbard is fitted with two suspension rings and a dark-finished chape at the tip.
