Description
This 19th-century Indo-Persian tabarzin is of all-steel construction. The weapon features a large, crescent-shaped axe head decorated with silver koftgari inlay in floral and foliate motifs. The head is mounted via a cylindrical socket and is topped with a faceted spear point finial. The long, tapered steel haft is integral to the design and terminates in a rounded, slightly pointed pommel. The decorative inlay continues onto the upper portion of the haft and the socket area.
