Description

This elegant silver rosewater sprinkler is crafted in a classic Indian form, featuring a rounded, lobed body richly decorated with finely chased floral and foliate motifs. The elongated tapering neck is adorned with engraved patterns and rises gracefully to a curved spout capped with a beautifully detailed, domed rosette finial. The design displays a harmonious blend of sculptural shaping and intricate surface ornamentation characteristic of refined Indian silverwork of the period.

The underside shows a smooth, worn base consistent with age and use, bordered by a band of engraved scrolling decoration. Overall, the piece demonstrates excellent craftsmanship and retains a pleasing patina, making it a distinguished example of traditional rosewater sprinklers used in ceremonial and domestic settings throughout the 18th and 19th centuries.
