Kitab al-ghawwas wa kanz al-ikhtisas, dated 1004 AH / 1595–1596 A.D — Arabic manuscript on the properties of stones and plants by al-hakim izz al-din abu al-hasan ali ibn muhammad ibn aydamir al-khalili. Copied by muhammad ibn ali al-shubramallisi al-maliki.


An arabic scientific manuscript titled kitab al-ghawwas wa kanz al-ikhtisas fi maʿrifat khawaṣ al-ahjar al-karimah wa al-maʿdaniyah, “the diver’s jewel and the treasure of distinction in the knowledge of the properties of precious and mineral stones.” written in 1004 ah (1595–1596 ad), this work explores the natural and medicinal properties of stones, minerals, oils, waters, trees, herbs, flowers, and perfumes. The manuscript represents the medieval islamic tradition of natural science and alchemy. This copy is written in black naskh script with red headings, comprising 37 folios on laid paper, and is the second part of the treatise.
