KITAB ATBAQ AL-DHAHAB, MANUSCRIPT BY SHARAF AL-DIN ABD AL-MU’MIN AL-ISFAHANI, DATED 1013 AH (1604–1605 CE)
Description
A rare Arabic manuscript titled Kitab Atbaq al-Dhahab (“The Book of Golden Dishes”), authored by the scholar and adīb Shihab al-Din ‘Abd al-Mu’min ibn Nabih Allah al-Isfahani. The colophon states that the work was completed in the year 1013 AH (1604–1605 CE). Beautifully handwritten in traditional script with red dot ornamentation, this manuscript exemplifies the refined calligraphic and literary culture of early 17th-century Islamic scholarship.
