A finely produced Kashmiri Qur’an manuscript, written in bold naskh script in black ink with red vocalization and commentary headings. The opening bifolio features a magnificent illuminated frontispiece, richly decorated in gold, blue, and pink with intricate geometric and vegetal motifs, showcasing the distinct artistry of 19th-century Kashmir.


Bound in a traditional red Moroccan-style leather binding with gilt medallion and cornerpieces, this Qur’an exemplifies the refined manuscript tradition of northern India, blending Persianate illumination with regional Kashmiri aesthetics.
