Description

A rare set of twelve Persian miniature paintings depicting a continuous narrative scene, possibly illustrating an episode from the Shahnameh or another Persian epic. Each miniature is finely rendered with vivid pigments and delicate black outlining, set within a ruled border and accompanied by Persian inscriptions identifying characters and dialogue.

The compositions feature dynamic battle scenes, mounted warriors, and courtly gatherings, all executed with the expressive figural style and vibrant palette characteristic of 19th-century Qajar manuscript illustration. The panels are neatly arranged on a single sheet, suggesting that they may have originally formed part of a larger illustrated manuscript or storytelling scroll.
