Description

A finely painted Iznik pottery dish decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, turquoise, and bole red on a white ground. The central medallion displays a symmetrical floral composition of stylized blossoms and saz leaves radiating from a rosette, framed by a scrolling vine border around the rim.

This design typifies the late 16th-century Ottoman aesthetic, characterized by rhythmic floral motifs and balanced geometry, likely produced in the Iznik workshops during the reign of Murad III (1574–1595). The reverse features alternating turquoise and cobalt motifs under a clear glaze.
