Description
A beautifully illuminated Ottoman manuscript of the famous prayer book Dalāʾil al-Khayrāt, attributed to Othman (Qaish), dated 1385 AH / 1965 CE, richly decorated with both illumination and illustration. The volume with finely executed painted depictions of the holy sanctuaries of Mecca and Medina, surrounded by lavish gilt and polychrome borders. Throughout, the text is framed with intricate floral and geometric ornamentation in gold and vibrant colours. (Print)
