Description

This important manuscript is the second volume of the monumental History of Damascus, compiled and richly annotated by the noble Sheikh Abdulqadir bin Ahmad bin Badran al-Maqdisi al-Dimashqi. Written in clear black script with key sections and names rubricated in red, the text is densely laid out across the folios, with marginal notes providing scholarly commentary and cross-references.

Bound in a later dark brown leather binding with blind-stamped medallion and corner motifs, the work demonstrates the enduring scholarly tradition of Damascus, one of the most important centers of Islamic intellectual life.
