Description
Rectangular in form and raised on four small feet, the box is worked in repoussé and chased sterling silver. The sides are decorated with panels of scrolling foliage enclosing the emblems of the Malaysian states, each identified by name. The hinged lid is framed with vegetal motifs and bears the Malaysian coat of arms in high relief above a presentation plaque inscribed: “With best compliments from Datuk Hussein Onn, Prime Minister of Malaysia, 1977.” The base is stamped MALAYSIA.
