Description
Of flattened pear-shaped form with a short cylindrical neck and domed hinged cover, the glass body is mounted in finely worked openwork silver. The broad oval reserves on each face are engraved with figural scenes of musicians and attendants set within landscapes, framed by pierced arabesque scrolls. The neck mount is richly decorated with further openwork and foliate engraving, surmounted by a domed cap with attached chain.
