Description

The dagger is forged with a finely polished steel blade, its forte engraved with a hunting scene depicting an elephant in combat, executed with delicate linework. The hilt and scabbard are richly ornamented with intricate arabesques, scrolling foliage, and bestial motifs, the designs highlighted with finely inlaid gold outlining to enhance their luminosity. The grip, of waisted profile, is decorated with symmetrical cartouches enclosing animal figures, interlaced with floral scrolls that continue seamlessly onto the scabbard.
