Description
Carved in white marble, this fragment represents the lower part of a seated figure, preserved from the chest down. The figure rests upon a block-like seat, the front incised with four vertical registers of cuneiform inscription, including a star symbol. The right hand is shown clasped across the lap, while the feet are placed flat upon an integral base. The surface bears an aged patina with areas of iron staining.
