Description
Of hemispherical form with a gently rounded base and a scalloped rim, the cup is cast in high-tin bronze, now with a mottled green patina from age. A horizontal handle extends from the body, surmounted by a horse with striated mane and angular legs, its simplified form evoking early Islamic metalwork traditions.
