Description

It is of bulbous form, tapering to a pointed base, crafted from copper alloy and richly decorated with colourful enamels in blue, green, red, white, and gold. The decoration features alternating vertical panels of floral motifs with garlands of roses, separated by gilt vine scrolls. Around the shoulder, there is a striking band of portrait medallions depicting expressive human faces in vibrant enamels, framed by gilded oval cartouches and floral sprays. The upper register is encircled with floral ornament, bordered with zigzag and foliate patterns. The piece is further enhanced with gilt highlights, which emphasis both the floral arabesques and the figural portraits.
