Description
The composition depicts a Qajar minister seated cross-legged upon a cushion, framed by a tiled wall and a patterned floor. He wears a richly embroidered robe of crimson and green floral motifs, belted at the waist, and a tall black cap. The painting is set within orange, blue, and gold borders, the lower margin inscribed with the artist’s signature Ragham Kamtarin Abdalmotalleb and dated 1214 AH (1799–1800 AD).
